G'Day Blokes and Sheilas!

Well here I am again! Thanks for sticking with me. There is as always a lot going on in my life.

The latest big news is fantastic news. Between all my other running around I found the time over the weekend to take Casey away on a drive around the Olympic Peninsula, with a great two night stay in Forks at our friends Bill And Susan's Bed and Breakfast. The Miller Tree Inn is a large farmhouse in the northwest corner of the Olympic Peninsula. It is a beautiful spot with knowledgeable hosts. If you are in to fishing or hiking I thoroughly recommend that you take a trip up there one day. It is also a perfect romantic getaway, which is what I had in mind as early in the day I asked Casey to marry me on Ruby Beach. The sun broke through and the moment was perfect. She even took me seriously and said yes.

So some time next year we will be tying the knot. The powers that be did try to throw a few kinks in the plans, with a broken fan belt, a heap of rain, and hence a flooded car. However good humor and patience saw us through in what was a very memorable weekend.

On to the issue. I am looking at time. It seemed appropriate as I never have enough of it! Their are some very useful Web sites and tools for you to have a look at.

Finally I would love to meet some of my local subscribers, feel free to drop in to the Inn and say G'Day! Better yet I am offering all of my readers a special deal right through to the end of April. Stay in our Deschutes, Columbia or Percival rooms for only $75 a night, or the Astoria (Jacuzzi included) for $115. All of the rooms will also have the Gourmet Breakfast we are becoming renowned for.

Have a great day!

Nathan Allan

Definition: Time Server

Ever wanted to know what the time really is? I don't mean what you think it is. I mean what it is to the micro-second!

This is where Time Servers come in to play. They are normally maintained by the military, weather services or universities. They all serve the purpose of reporting the time as accurately as possible.

Of course it does not matter to some people who are working to the tick of their own clock. However to most people who need to be on time for appointments and the like, it is nice to have the time right!

Software Review: Atomic Clock Sync 2.7.0.3

There is nothing fancy about this tiny program. It is a simply free utility that will synchronize your computers clock to that of an Atomic Clock. It simply connects to a time server and connects and syncs within a couple of seconds.

Quotable: A Portuguese-Jewish Wedding Ceremony says...

The ritual of marriage is not simply a social event; it is a crossing of threads in the fabric of fate. Many strands bring the couple and their families together and spin their lives into a fabric that is woven on their children.

The Great Australian Joke: Keep an eye on your money

My grandfather always said, "Don't watch your money; watch your health." So one day while I was watching my health, someone stole my money. It was my grandfather.
