G'Day Blokes and Sheilas!

At the moment there are simply not enough hours in the day. I am sure a lot of you know what that is like.

Casey and I are planning are second epic Kayaking Trip for next week. Like our last 4 day trip in the San Jaun's it will be a last minute affair. We have rough plans but could deviate from them. Let the tides and currents take us away.

We are also looking to both move to a bigger house. In doing so a couple of other dreams might come true. More on those later.

I am also working on some behind the scenes projects to educate myself, giving me well rounded IT knowledge. I am not trying to be an expert at everything but have a working knowledge of everything I am involved in. This would enable me to at least be the caretaker of anything I may get involved in.

So I hope you can see how I am a Busy Bee!

Back to last weeks issue and my announcement that I had swapped my newsletter distribution software. Well it seems to be working just fine. No complaints. A few compliments. I do hope it makes things easier for me, which in turn means more time to dedicate to the content of the newsletter!

One thing I would like to ask is if anyone tried out Skype. If you have no one to try it out with feel free to add me to your contacts. I am "netbloke2002".

So on with the issue! Read on and even you may learn a thing or two!

Have a bonza day!

Nathan Allan

Definition: Fair Dinkum

Fair Dinkum I need a break! Yep, nothing could be more true than when it is Fair Dinkum. This uniquely Aussie saying is often used when someone cannot believe a story and will exclaim, "Fair Dinkum!".

Don't ask me what or who Dinkum is, as I have idea.

Web Site Review: Melbourne PC User Group

The Melbourne PC User Group goes way back to 1984 and has over eleven thousand members. Their motto sums up why I am reviewing their site, "Users helping users".

With computers becoming more widespread and people varying in their expertise and knowledge, it is great to have friends, family or a group like this to fall back on for advice and training. MPCUG stretches way back, but there are many such groups in cities and towns all over the world. All of which you can join.

With my newsletter I try to help out people as much as I can. Sometimes offering advice and solutions on a one to one basis, or just generally broadcasting new programs, sites or news in this newsletter. I like to think it is my little way of giving back to the greater good.

If you are in Melbourne check out MPCUG or if your somewhere else do a Google search for "PC User Group".
