G'Day Blokes and Sheilas!

The weather seems to be getting a little nicer here in Washington. This is great as it means more time outside. Sydney is making sure I am staying active with runs around Eric's paddock and woods, and nightly walks with Casey.

Something I have done the past couple of years for myself is to create a personal plan for myself. This includes personal and financial goals along with a checklist of things I would like to achieve this year. I would strongly recommend creating one for yourself as it is a good way of keeping track of how you are, or are not, sticking to your goals.

Last week I recommended Crazy Browser for its tabbed interface. Tom Shubnell agreed with me adding, "I have been using Crazy Browser for over a year and also love it. Best one I have found. You're right the price is right. I especially like the option, which I use, that it cleans my cookies, history, etc., when I shut it down". Then Matt Dell sent me a email too and recommended MyIE2. Take a look at this issues Software Review for his synopsis.

If you are thinking of or currently specing out a new computer you cannot miss my Project Step Up section. This week I found an amazing deal on a very cool case!

Have a beaut day!

Nathan Allan

Software Review: Eudora 1.05

Here is what subscriber Matt Dell has to say about MyIE2.

Saw your note re Crazy Browser. I agree that is a good browser. I graduated from Internet Explorer (IE) to it about 12 months ago.

When searching online for more details/ways to tweak it I happened on discussion of MyIE2 browser. I gave it a whirl and wow! It is everything Crazybrowser is and then some. This thing is SO customizable, it's skinnable, it's small and fast, it integrates with other programs well (I rely heavily on AI Roboform to fill passwords & Star Downloader for downloads - both excellent and free). MYIE2 is of course free too - although it's so good I donated a couple of bob. It is under constant development and there is an active user forum where tips can be given and requests for features are heard and acted upon. I couldn't recommend this any higher. Give her a go mate!

Definition: Yabber On

I am starting a new section of my blog. It is what I Aussies sometimes call "Yabbering on". Having a good old "rant and rave" as Americans may put it. Others may say I am getting on my "soap box". Whatever you call it remember I am just stating my opinion. Feel free to comment on them whether you agree with me or not.

I am using this as a good way to vent some frustration and comment on some things I see and wonder what on earth the thought process was behind that!

Project Step Up: Current Computer Configuration

I have already got a little ahead of myself with this project. I ordered a new case as the old one is a little old and a lot of ugly! Plain beige cases just do not do it for me! So I ordered what was marketed as a gamers case from X-treme Geek by Cyberguys (which is just about my favorite online computer store). The price on the case was amazing at only US$39.99. As you will see by the pictures on the site it has a side window, so you can make your internal fans all fancy and neon! A super bonus was that although the case was advertised to come with a 350 watt power supply it was shipped with a 400 watt installed! Now I am not sure of the quality of the power supply but if there are problems at this price I can still afford to go out and buy a better one later.

Now I have the basis of a very nice new system. It is going to be a great one!

Web Site Review: Nutrition Works

This is a site for a couple of Seattle based nutritionists, however there is plenty of information on the site that warrants a visit by people looking at their dietary needs. Of course I am interested in this at the moment as I want to loose a few pounds and be generally healthier. As you will read on this site nutrition plays an important part of being healthy.

There is an interesting newsletter you can subscribe to, interesting recipes and books the nutritionists recommend. Of course the site also promotes the services offered by the duo.

So start out the year with a new view on food! Visit Nutrition Works now.

The Great Australian Joke

Subscriber Doyle thought I might enjoy this poem, as I think you may all too. I would rate this one slightly PG.

Aussie Love Poem

Of course I love ya darling
You're a bloody top notch bird
And when I say you're gorgeous
I mean every single word

So your ass is on the big side
I don't mind a bit of flab
It means that when I'm ready
There's somethin' there to grab

So your belly isn't flat no more
I tell ya, I don't care
So long as when I cuddle ya
I can get my arms around there

No women who is your age
Has nice round perky breasts
They just gave into gravity
But I know ya did your best

I'm tellin' ya the truth now
I never tell ya lies
I think it's very sexy
That you've got dimples on your thighs

I swear on gramma's grave now
The moment that we met
I thought you was as good as
I was ever gonna get

No matter what you look like
I'll always love ya dear
Now shut up while the game is on
And get me another beer
