Editorial

Well it just isn't going to happen on any regular basis. Life is so hectic that I need to take a break sometimes. So unless someone buys Sausage for a few million and I can just bum away my days, NetBloke won't be sent out unless I have some time to write it! I love doing it, I just cannot find the time.

For those of you who do not already know I went to Australia for work purposes in March/April. HTen to top it off I spent my first anniversary down in Kentucky with my wife and daughter. Hayden spent some time with her cousins and Karissa and I went off too Wildflowers Bed and Breakfast. Check it out at:

Carolyn and her daughter Camilla were the most amazing hosts. The breakfasts were divine! And we picked up a nice piece of art by her husband Steven Estes.

After one weekend at home we were off again to Chicago to the FMI conference. I have never eaten and drank so much free food in my life. Yes this was a supermarket convention with equipment and food suppliers showing their wares. See more about FMI at:

This was my first trip to Chicago that didn't simply involve swapping airplanes. We went down to Navy pier and road the Ferris wheel. Had a nice lunch and then took a scenic drive along lakeshore drive.

Now it is off to work in the garden. Everything in Iowa has come to life. Our big project is building Hayden a play set. No I am never going to get any rest! Isn't that what retirements for?

....Well time has rolled on and I didn't even get the time to send that! We have been back to Kentucky again for my nephews high school graduation.

Also for those friends and family who want to stay married to there loved one - do not build a swing set. Seriously it took the whole Memorial Day weekend almost to do. However as you will see in the pictures it was worth it!

The Great Australian Joke

1. I won't be in today. My fish is sick and I need to take it to the vet.
2. My neighbor's daughter got a round hair brush stuck in her hair and I need to help her get it out.
3. I won't be in today because I have come down with Spring Fever.
4. I fell off a ladder fixing the roof on my house and I landed on my elbow.
5. I don't think I'll be in work for awhile. Yesterday I was riding my son's BMX bike and I fell and broke my ankle it two places and I'm in the hospital.
6. I won't be in today. I'm still drunk from last night.
7. I'm not coming in because I need a mental day.
8. Last night we had a party and I woke up with a strange man in my bed!
9. My car caught on fire on the way to work so I can't make it in.
10. My car ran out of gas on the way to work. I was pushing it to a gas station and I got a stomach hernia and I have to go to the doctors.
